I have not posted anything since July 2013.  So much has happened since then that I can't go back and recap, but, as you can see below, there is a "Team MPO" now!  We have been meeting every Monday since 8/26/13 and going out in teams to pray onsite with those who want prayer and for those who either don't want prayer or don't think they need prayer.  We wear neon yellow shirts that say "I AM PRAYING 4 U" on the back and front.  We have people from 6 different churches who come together as The Body of Christ to walk and pray with us.  The community has been awakened by this ministry.
Yesterday, I met a young Physical Therapist from Amarillo who is living  and working in Springtown.  When I told him that I am part of the local prayer walking ministry, He said he had heard about it at a local church he attended.  He said that one of the things he really liked about Springtown was that the churches come together in agreement to love our neighbors through prayer.
I am including part of the weekly email that our team receives after each prayer walk.
Have a blessed week!

Team MPO,
A great group of prayer ministers showed up to show the love of Christ to our community Monday.  We welcomed a new member and were blessed by some who have not joined us in a while.  See what happens when we ask the God of the Harvest to send laborers?

God sent each group to attend the needs of those whose hearts he prepared in advance.  Some acknowledged they needed prayer, some didn’t, but all received prayers lifted up on their behalf by God’s people.

My group experienced the power of the presence of Christ’s light in the midst of darkness.  We walked through the park. On the path, just before we reached the skate park, we met a sweet family who asked for prayer for their living situation and for a family member who was joining up with the drug scene.  They also warned us that we were about to hear some bad language at the skate park.  We could hear the teens as we approached the skate area.  When we left the path and headed toward the largest group, one of the girls in the group started telling the others to watch their language because of us.  They all started behaving very differently.  Though they turned down our offer to pray with them, one of them thanked us for asking and then we heard “thank-you” from many as we walked away.   Darkness is the absence of light.  The enemy could not continue his work in the presence of Christ in us.  We prayed that they would understand that everything they do is done in front of God.

Pray for each other and for The Body of Christ that He would revive our hearts and unite us in spirit and in truth so we can stand together and be a bright light to draw people out of darkness.

Ephesians 2:21-22  21 In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. 22 And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.
